Day in, day out, Duratron® PI is made to perform
From -50ᵒC to 300-350ᵒC, Duratron® gives you peace of mind
Duratron® PI provides a unique collection of high-performance properties like high stiffness and strength, dimensional stability, improved bearing performance, and chemical resistance, helping OEMs and engineers overcome expanding challenges and stand-up in the most extreme operating exposures.
All engineering and no play
Duratron® PI can be processed through Hot Compression Molded Shapes and Direct Formed Net or Near-Net Shape parts, giving you the flexibility to manufacture parts for any application and scale.
HCM Shapes – Hot Compression Molded
Duratron® PI shapes can be an ideal starting point for designs where smaller series are required and where tolerances and geometry of end part require machining.
Direct Forming and Near Net Shapes
Available through machining of near net shapes or pressing final parts where tolerances and geometry allow, Duratron® DF parts are an exceptional value for applications where thermal requirements are desirable and high numbers of parts are essential. Duratron® DFU Specialty grade, with improved low moisture uptake and superior thermal oxidative stability, is also available.
From plasma torch insulators to semi-conductor sockets, Duratron® PI provides unwavering stability and reliability for unique applications
-
Duratron® PI components provide impact resistance, insulation and conductivity properties, oxidative and thermal stability, low wear, and reliable mechanical strength across temperatures. Such materials perform in a variety of applications.
Plasma torch nozzle insulators
Using our Duratron® DF7000 and DFU7000 offering and a combination of Direct Formed and Near Net Shapes capabilities, we provided OEM’s with a baffle with improved dimension stability, increased durability from decreased part fragility, and improved sealing performance over a wider temperature range.
Glass handling take out inserts
Using a combination of Duratron® DF7040 and Duratron® DFU7040G, we improved the part’s thermal performance, impact resistance, and longevity with increased toughness and dimensional and mechanical strength.
Compressor, Pump, and Valve Seats
Our Duratron® DF7000, DF7015G and DF7040G offering can be applied in many parts across usage, including bearings, thrust-washers, and seats. Such parts improve performance and operation, and reduce cost and need for repair.
-
Duratron® PI provides high strength, stiffness, temperature performance, and dimensional stability. Such materials are excellent for tight tolerance designs and chemical operating conditions.
Semi-conductor back-end test sockets
Semiconductor chip components made from the long-life Duratron® DFU7000 are tough, with temperature resistance up to 300°C, a strong chemical resistance to hand inert coolant, and impact resistance for good thermal cycling and burn-in. PI ultra ‘U’ is a specialty product with better thermal oxidative stability and lower moisture absorption.
